Praxis Care joins Diversity Mark in its commitment to diversity and inclusion
Praxis Care, Northern Ireland’s largest registered social care charity, has signed up to join Diversity Mark in its commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Praxis Care offers social care services for those with autism, dementia, learning disabilities and mental ill health. It currently supports 1,500 people across the island of Ireland, England and Isle of Man with the support from 1,800 members of staff.
Praxis Care is a progressive organisation that has signed up to join Diversity Mark as a signatory and will be working towards an accreditation.
Andy Mayhew, CEO of Praxis Care, says that signing up to Diversity Mark affirms the organisation’s pledge to be a forward-looking employer.
“Working with Diversity Mark is an important step for us. We want this to be a recognition of our significant interest in progressing diversity and inclusion throughout all areas of the charity. The individuals we support every day come from diverse backgrounds and we want the staff who work alongside them every day to reflect that diversity, as well.
“We’re really looking forward to working towards our Diversity Mark accreditations and learning how we can become an even more progressive and inclusive employer.”
