We were delighted to partner with Northern Ireland Water, a Silver Accredited Signatory with Diversity Mark, for our latest Executive Breakfast, hosted by Sara Venning, CEO of NI Water. The event brought together a broad range of business leaders predominantly from the construction sector, for an open and insightful discussion on the evolving challenges and opportunities in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).
Sarah shared NI Water’s remarkable EDI journey with honesty and clarity, highlighting how their commitment to inclusion has delivered tangible value across the organisation. She spoke about the many innovative initiatives and policies NI Water has implemented – initiatives that have transformed their internal culture, enabled them to attract more women into traditionally male-dominated areas, increased engagement with disadvantaged communities, and strengthened support for workers of all ages throughout their career journey.

Helen Devlin and Kerrie Townsend from NI Water brought these initiatives to life, outlining practical actions and real outcomes that demonstrated both leadership and sustained organisational commitment.
We also heard from Deb Lange, Diversity Mark Co-Chair of the Independent Assessment Panel, Christine White, Director of Diversity Mark, and Head of Business Development Todd Engman, who each shared valuable perspectives on the broader Diversity Mark journey and the continued importance of measurable, impactful EDI progress.

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such engaging and meaningful conversations.
