Diversity Mark was delighted to partner with A&L Goodbody for the latest CEO Diversity Breakfast event hosted by Michael Neill, Head of Office at A&L Goodbody. A&L Goodbody was the first law firm to achieve the Silver Diversity Mark, and Michael emphasised that their EDI journey is an ongoing evolution and essential for long-term success and crucial for building an inclusive and sustainable workplace.
Christine White, Director of Diversity Mark, was joined by Stephen McCully, Board Member, Will Young, Independent Assessor and Todd Engman, Head of Business Development. Will explained the importance of structured processes in embedding diversity but also emphasised the need to measure how employees feel in the workplace, highlighting that real cultural change is driven by agency and behaviour. Stephen McCully echoed these sentiments, emphasising how a diversity of perspectives enhances innovation and creativity, and how fostering a sense of belonging is fundamental to achieving success.
Christine closed the event by stressing the importance of top-level buy-in throughout the Diversity Mark journey. She highlighted the CEO breakfasts, where leaders share their stories of transformation, as an essential part of inspiring change. If any CEOs, MDs, or Directors are interested in attending a future event, please reach out to Todd Engman, Head of Business Development, at todd@diversity-mark-ni.co.uk.
Companies in attendance included Barnett Hall, Glandore, Hastings Hotels, The Community Foundation Northern Ireland, The WiB Group, and A&L Goodbody.
Thank you to all who joined this important conversation. We look forward to continuing the journey toward greater diversity and inclusion.
