Todd Engman, Head of Business Development, had the pleasure of presenting the Diversity Mark re-accreditation certificate to Ogletree Deakins, who have once again been recognised by our independent assessment panel for their commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I).
Ogletree Deakins, a leading international labour and employment law firm, continue to set the bar high in embedding ED&I into their workplace culture. Their Belfast office in particular has become a shining example of best practice, boasting the largest DEI committee outside of their US headquarters.
Looking ahead, Ogletree Deakins are committed to measurable progress, with targets underpinned by their bi-annual data collection. They are focused on developing three new DEI initiatives aimed at enhancing equal opportunities across the firm, increasing DEI satisfaction and strengthening support for caring responsibilities and working parents.
The Belfast team already deliver a wide range of inclusive initiatives, including:
- Celebrating International Women’s and Men’s Day across the office
- Hosting Roundtables and office-wide quizzes for National Inclusion Week
- Building meaningful partnerships with LGBTQ+ charities
- Running stress management seminars to support staff wellbeing
- Organising their annual “Walktober” challenge, encouraging self-care and connection
Through these efforts, Ogletree Deakins continue to show that ED&I is more than a policy – it is a living, breathing part of their culture. They are not only excellent ambassadors for Diversity Mark but also true leaders in demonstrating how workplaces can drive positive, lasting change for their people and their communities.
