Inclusive Insights – Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace


In partnership with BITC NI we are thrilled to announce a new series of monthly online sessions that aim to support businesses in creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

By sharing best practice and raising awareness, we will explore a variety of themes including race, age, gender, and social mobility, and examine how these themes intersect.

Unlocking Career Potential of Experienced Colleagues | Tuesday 24 September | 10:00 – 10:45 AM

Facilitated by Age NI, this session will focus on the theme of career development and creating a culture of lifelong learning at work.

Age NI will provide an overview of the Mid-Career Review service they provide, which are a series of workshops that can be delivered to businesses to ensure a comprehensive and supportive approach to career and personal development for older employees.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a business on their experience putting the Mid Career Review process into action. There will also be an open discussion and Q&A.

Promoting Social Mobility through Inclusive Employment practices | Tuesday 22 October| 10:00 – 10:45 AM

This session will explore the critical role that inclusive employment practices play in promoting social mobility. We will explore strategies that organisations can adopt to foster equitable opportunities, nurture diverse talent, and ultimately, narrow the gap between potential and accomplishment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from a business on their experience and there will also be an open discussion and Q&A.

Building a Stronger Organisation: The Business Case for Employee Resource Groups | Tuesday 19 November| 10:00 – 10:45 AM

This session will delve into the business rationale behind employee resource groups, demonstrating their role in forging a more unified and robust organisation. We will discuss the concrete advantages they offer, ranging from boosting employee contentment and retention to fostering innovation and bolstering organisational performance.
