John-Ross Armstrong, MD of Greentown, commenting on the accreditation stated:
“Greentown is delighted to have achieved this award in recognition of the efforts it is making to become a more diverse and inclusive workplace. It is our hope to continue this work in the coming months to achieve our diversity, equality and inclusion objectives.”
The Bronze Diversity Mark is a publicly recognisable standard that is awarded to organisations following independent assessment. It is awarded to organisations that show commitment to building more diverse and inclusive workplaces for all with a specific focus on gender diversity at the initial stages. The assessment panel noted that Greentown is demonstrating “leadership in understanding the importance of diversity and inclusion in fields in which have historically been male dominated.”
Laura Brady, HR Officer at Greentown, who was instrumental in the assessment process, commented:
“With the support of the Corporate Management Team, Greentown is making a commitment to tackle gender diversity issues faced in our industry. This will come with its own challenges but with a dedicated team and the support of Diversity Mark, we are confident that progress can be made.”
Diversity Mark was established in 2017 to help businesses remove the fear associated with diversity and inclusion. It provides businesses with assistance in approaching diversity and inclusion goals including council, information and insights.
Emma Lyttle, Head of Engagement at Diversity Mark said:
“We are delighted that Greentown have recently been awarded the Bronze Diversity Mark Accreditation. Huge Congratulations to all the team on this robust achievement. We very much look forward to supporting their continued commitment to progress with the Diversity Mark process.”
