Multicultural Women’s Network Event


This event is delivered in partnership with Women in Business NI and MRANI.

It’s purpose is to provide a welcoming space for women from diverse ethnic backgrounds to come together in a relaxed and informal environment to grow their connections, discuss common career and business challenges and enable valuable community building.

We welcome women from all ethnicities – this is a free event for employees in Diversity Mark signatory organisations and Women in Business members.

Angeline TandonAssistant Producer at BBC

Angeline Tandon has spent a decade at the BBC. Starting her career in news, she now works with the archive content team, bringing historical material to new audiences and enhancing the BBC’s presence across social platforms. In addition to her production role, Angeline leads BBC Embrace in Northern Ireland, a staff-led network for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic colleagues. As head of the Northern Ireland hub, she facilitates important conversations and creates a supportive environment for staff from diverse backgrounds. Angeline is committed to amplifying the voices of these communities, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect across the BBC.

Valencia WeirAdmin & Customer Co-ordination Manager NIE Networks

With over 10 years of experience at NIE Networks, Valencia Weir has built a successful and diverse career, progressing from an Admin Assistant to a Technical role, and now excelling as a Manager. Her journey has provided her with the unique opportunity to work across all directorates within the company, giving her a comprehensive understanding of what is required to lead effectively and drive impactful results. Valencia holds a qualification in Business Management as well in Advanced manufacturing with Electrical/Electronic Engineering, where she developed technical Knowledge. These qualifications, combined with her hands-on experience, have equipped her with both the technical and managerial expertise to navigate complex challenges and deliver sustainable solutions in her field. Beyond her professional achievements, Valencia is a proud advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. She currently serves as the Chair of Spark Unity, NIE Networks’ ethnicity staff network group, where she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that celebrates cultural diversity. Passionate about empowering others and sharing her journey, Valencia is excited to contribute to the Women in Business panel, where she aims to inspire others to embrace growth, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential.
